What on earth is this all about??
Onebean is a cartoon featuring, well, beans! There's also Donny the Chinese Dragon, Saucy the Soybean, Sven the 'Shavers Only' guy and Leah the ex-Princess-turned-lima-bean.
It's not always a storyline that runs consecutively (say, like a TV show) - quite often it's just a one frame cartoon of something that I think is funny (and hopefully one or two other people might think so too). I guess it's maybe a little bit like Seinfeld in that it's "about nothing"... so OK, that's maybe the only TV show it IS like. Whatever.
But I just don't get it!!
Don't worry too much - I really don't know if there's anything to "get": you either think it's funny or you don't... not to be snobby or anything, but just because, well, as a friend of mine says all the time:
"It is what it is".
Why beans?
Kind of a long story. Actually it's not, but it's a little personal.... Maybe I'll spill the beans one day (haha, get it? OK, OK it wasn't funny....)
Why don't they have faces? (or hands for that matter)
Well, actually, that's just the way it started out, but after a while, I found that the little guy was pretty expressive just by playing with the positioning of the arms and legs. Um - it's as simple as that.
Why are you doing it? What's it for? MONEY???
Right now, it's just for fun and hey, if someone donates a buck here or there, or if someone buys a shirt, then GREAT! Otherwise - it's just a matter of entertaining myself (and maybe one or two other people).
Would you be interested in syndicating the content?
Oh, well, I suppose so... If you insist. Oh, go on then.
Do you have dreams of building a media and product empire based on this?
What on earth are you talking about? The thought never crossed my mind.
I'm going to steal your ideas and characters and make a fortune while you sit on your butt.
You'd better not because my friend Dorothy will come and beat you up. (actually, I don't have a friend called Dorothy, but if I did, she'd kick your BEEHIVE).
